Scheffer: the Russian troops are pulling out from Georgia


The Secretary General of NATO announced that according to the signs, the Russian troops fulfilled the conditions of the peace treaty.

That means they pulled their troops back behind the lines existed prior to the Georgian-Russian war. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer expressed on the Budapest Summit of the Nato Defense Ministers: regardless of the Russian steps it is too early to speak  about the possibility of a NATO-Russian meeting on the next summit of the Defense Ministers – He added. The Secretary General reminded that the invitation of Georgia to the membership action plan was not on the schedule at the Budapest summit.
