Closing day: Afghanistan and Georgia

On the second and last day of the informal NATO meetings the ministers will discuss the mission in Afghanistan and the role of NATO in Kosovo.

There are 42 countries participating in the 2-day informal meetings: the representatives of the 26 NATO members, and those of 16 non-NATO troop contributing nations. The 3-hour long official discussion takes place in Marriott Hotel behind closed doors starting at 8:30 AM. At 12 noon the NATO-Georgia Commission will hold its first session at the same place.
The event will close at 1 PM with a press conference of Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer held in the media center of Sofitel Hotel.
